Create a stable, durable surface for tile and stone installations with TCQCDG™ Fiber Cement Backer Board—a reinforced cement-based panel designed for bathrooms, kitchens, laundry rooms, entryways, floors, walls, countertops, and other moisture-prone areas.
Unlike ordinary drywall or wood-based panels, the cementitious construction helps resist swelling, softening, warping, and surface deterioration caused by occasional moisture exposure. It provides a firm, dimensionally stable base for installing ceramic tile, porcelain tile, natural stone, and other compatible finishes.
The panel can be measured and cut to fit common renovation and construction layouts. Once secured with approved corrosion-resistant fasteners, the joints can be reinforced using alkali-resistant mesh tape and compatible mortar.

General Installation Instructions
- Confirm that the framing or subfloor is structurally sound, level, clean, and dry.
- Measure the installation area and mark the board before cutting.
- Cut the board using appropriate cement-board tools and dust-control methods.
- Position the panels according to the planned layout.
- Stagger joints where required and leave the recommended spacing between panels.
- Secure the board using approved corrosion-resistant backer-board screws.
- Keep fastener heads flush with the surface without damaging the panel.
- Reinforce seams using alkali-resistant mesh tape.
- Cover taped joints with compatible thin-set mortar.
- Apply an approved waterproofing system where required.
- Allow all materials to cure before installing tile or stone.
Important Waterproofing Notice
TCQCDG™ Fiber Cement Backer Board is moisture-resistant but should not automatically be described as waterproof.
In showers, wet rooms, and other continuously exposed areas, install a compatible waterproof membrane or moisture-management system according to local building requirements. The finished installation must also include properly treated seams, corners, fasteners, and plumbing penetrations.

Cutting cement-based panels may produce respirable dust. Work in a well-ventilated area and use suitable eye protection, gloves, and respiratory protection. Use score-and-snap methods or dust-reducing cutting equipment whenever appropriate.
This product is not intended to replace structural plywood, framing, load-bearing sheathing, or required waterproofing materials. Follow applicable building codes and installation specifications.
