Improve indoor comfort and reduce unwanted noise with TCQCDG™ Acoustic Insulation Batts—high-density polyester-fiber panels designed for installation inside walls, ceilings, partitions and other interior building cavities.
The porous fiber structure captures and absorbs sound energy traveling through the surrounding space. When installed correctly, it helps reduce conversations, television noise, music, equipment sounds and other common airborne noise passing between rooms.
The flexible batts can be cut to fit between common wood or metal framing. Unlike traditional fiberglass insulation, the polyester construction contains no loose glass fibers, making the material more comfortable to handle during everyday renovation and DIY projects.

How It Works
Sound travels through both the air and the building structure. The open fiber structure of TCQCDG™ Acoustic Insulation Batts helps absorb airborne sound inside a wall or ceiling cavity, reducing the amount of sound energy that reaches the opposite side.
For better performance, the batts can be combined with properly sealed drywall, acoustic sealant, resilient channels, isolation clips or additional layers of gypsum board. Overall sound reduction depends on the complete wall or ceiling assembly rather than the insulation alone.
Installation Instructions
- Measure the space between wall studs, ceiling joists or framing members.
- Make sure the cavity is clean, dry and free from sharp debris.
- Cut the acoustic batt slightly wider than the opening when needed.
- Place the material between the framing members using a gentle friction fit.
- Avoid compressing the material excessively, as this may reduce performance.
- Cut carefully around pipes, cables, electrical boxes and other obstructions.
- Fill the entire cavity without leaving large gaps.
- Use compatible acoustic sealant around perimeter gaps and penetrations.
- Complete the wall or ceiling with the selected finishing system.
- Follow local building requirements before enclosing the material.

This product is designed to absorb sound and help reduce noise transmission, but it should not be described as making a room completely soundproof.
Actual performance depends on:

Do not publish a specific STC, NRC or decibel-reduction rating unless the exact product and completed construction assembly have been independently tested.
